With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son/ brother Richard Ruben Velez aka (Richie), who was taken from us too soon on Sunday night of August 10, 2025, at the young age of 27. He was born on September 23, 1997, in Madera, CA, to Richard and Leticia Velez. He was a devoted worker for Costco, but we all know his true passion was to record and make music. Richie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with friends and family, "snacking", and spending time with siblings and cousins. Richie had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, with his kind heart and radiant smile.

He is survived by his parents Rich and Letty, his sister Evangelina and his three brothers, Michael, Robert and Isaiah; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles and by his grandparents. Though his time with us was brief, the depth of love and happiness he shared will forever remain in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at All Faiths Funeral Home, 801 E Yosemite Ave, Madera, CA. 93638

After Services, Family will be gathering to receive friends from 3:30 to 9pm @ town & county park in Madera, with potluck style food. Where friends and family are invited to remember a life that albeit short, was truly a gift to us all.
