Richard Spruell was born in the city of San Francisco, CA to parents Phyllis Lee and Richard Spruell. He departed this life on Saturday November 12 th in Fresno, CA at the age of 46, a month shy of his 47 th birthday.

Richard grew up in Madera California and prided himself on growing up on Hull street with his sister and cousins. He became a first time father to his daughter Latray Brown at the age of 21, and later moved to Fresno California where he welcomed his last daughter that he named after his mother, Phyllis Spruell. He loved his family and coming home for the holidays. He was loving, honest, and loyal to those who were loyal to him. Richard was quiet and kept to himself, but had the most loud, unique, distinctive laugh once you got him started.

Richard leaves behind his two daughters, Latray Brown and Phyllis Spruell of Fresno Ca, his father Richard Spruell of Modesto Ca. His mother Phyllis Lee and step father John Lee of Madera,Ca, His sisters Sharie Spruell of Madera ca and Angel Brown of Modesto Ca. He also leaves behind his grandson Kamari along with a host of family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his younger brother Eric whitehead, his grandparents, Emma Murphy & Sunny Spruell , Christine & Clyde Bowen, along with several aunts and uncles.
