Obituary

Peter Jackson Salazar was born on September 8, 1948 and met his creator on June 14, 2020. He was a faithful servant of the Lord as an Associate Pastor at Madera Grace Tabernacle and a Chaplain for the Madera County Jail. He was also known as Pastor Pete to many as he founded Jericho House Outreach Ministry which led many people to the knowledge and saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Preceded in death by his parents Victoriano Temez Salazar and Bertha Jackson Salazar. Siblings preceded in death Lupe Salazar, Guadalupe Salazar I, Santiago Salazar, Victor Salazar and Eduvina Salazar. Surviving siblings Armando Salazar, Maria Martinez, Juanita Garcia, Eva Rodriguez, Dora Vasquez, and Janet Bolin. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Aurora M. Salazar, 8 children between the both of them (Silvia Salazar, Andrea Salazar, Peter John Salazar, Johnny Santiago Salazar, Annette Salazar, Eleduvina Salazar, Andrea Martinez, and Amanda Garcia), 26 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Madera Grace Tabernacle 16294 N. D Street Madera, CA. Due to COVID restriction capacity limits, one service will be for the friends and a separate service for the family. Friends are invited to attend the service from 9:30a-10:30a. A family only service will be held at 11:00a-1:00p. Family will proceed to a 2:00p graveside service at Arbor Vitae Cemetery 1301 Roberts Avenue Madera, CA. All attendees must wear a mask at the funeral and graveside service.
