Pedro V. Sauceda

Pedro V. Sauceda was born on January 31, 1931, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Jose Maria Sauceda and Apolinar Villanueva. In the late 1940's, Pedro came to America with the simple intention of buying a pair of shoes, a decision that would forever change the course of his life. What began as a small journey became the beginning of a life defined by courage, sacrifice, and unwavering love for family.

Pedro ultimately settled in Madera, California, where he built a home, started a family, and laid down deep roots. In 1993, he proudly became a United States Citizen. He worked for many years at Oberti's Olives, where he was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and reliability. Pedro devoted his life to providing for his family, always placing their needs above his own.

A man of quiet strength and deep values, Pedro taught his children the importance of compassion, patience, and doing what is right, even when it is difficult.  He was immensely proud of his family and the lives they built, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and perseverance that will be remembered for generations. Pedro often said, "Mi familia es mi Tesoro", a belief he lived every day of his life.

Pedro Passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Francisco Sauceda and Jose Sauceda; his sisters, Augustina Saucedo and Lupe Landeros; his son, Peter Sauceda; his daughter-in-law, Joyce Sauceda; his son-in-law, David Torres; and his grandson, Daniel Trevino.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Manuela Sauceda; his sister, Martina; and his children: Janie and her husband Hector Chapa, Tony and his wife Diane Sauceda, Vera Sauceda-Torres, James and his wife Jaqueline Holmes, Jerry Sauceda, Emma and her husband David Fontes, Patricia Sauceda-Haro, and Nelly and her husband Rick Trevino. Pedro was a proud grandfather to 24 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 27 great-grandchildren.

His life was a testament to sacrifice, love, and devotion to family.  His lessons, laughter, and presence will live on through his family for generations. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
