Obituary

Oscar Salazar Sr. passed away on August 8, 2026 surrounded by family. Born on July 18, 1940 in Rancho el Toro, General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Oscar is survived by his wife, 7 children, 19 grandchildren and 1 grandson who had proceeded him in death, and 6 great-grandchildren. Oscar came to the US in 1961 and eventually brought his family with him in 1968. He worked as a big equipment operator and a farm laborer. Oscar will be remembered for his immense love of music and dancing; he was well-known for playing dominoes and the lottery as well as his fondness for his home garden. He loved his family dearly and the home he built with them. His family will affectionately remember his sense of humor and wonderful laugh.


A rosary will be held on August 16 at All Faith Funeral Home viewing from 4-6 PM and Rosary from 6-7 PM with the funeral being held the following day August 17th at St. Joachim's Church at 11:30 interment at Calvary cemetery immediately following the mass. A reception will be held at the VFW Hall in Madera, CA from 2-6 PM.
