In Loving Memory of Mary Urena

Mary Urena, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, at the age of 85. She was born on May 2, 1941, and was a longtime resident of Madera, California.

Mary retired from the school district and spent her retirement surrounded by the people she loved most—her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.

Mary was a devoted mother to her children, Donna Redsky, Vikky Monroe, and Jose Urena. She was also a loving grandmother to Heidi Holguin, Narciso Holguin, Johnny Gallegos, Brandon Gallegos, Valeria Delacruz Urena, and Joseph Khan, and a proud great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren.

Mary was recently diagnosed with ALS. During her final days, she was surrounded by the love of her family. She passed peacefully with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren by her side, surrounded by the people who loved her most.

Her family will forever cherish the memories they shared with her, the love she gave so freely, and the special place she held in their lives. Although her passing leaves a tremendous emptiness in their hearts, they find comfort in knowing that she was surrounded by her family and was not alone.

Rest peacefully, Mary. You were deeply loved, and you will be forever missed.
