Francisco P Luna

June 4, 1938 to A pril 21, 2021

Francisco was born in Weslaco Texas on June 4 th , 1938 to proud parents Juan and Soledad Luna.  He was the eldest of twelve siblings , always the responsible mature well-mannered young man. He married Josephine Luna in his early twenties and together they had eight children. Francisco, Cruz, Rosemary, Lawrence, Remigio , Alfred, Arthur and Roman. He worked in agriculture for a few years and moved as the seasons changed and harvest required relocation to various parts of California. His love for automotive work became a reality when h e began working as a mechanic and settled in Madera over forty years ago.

He had a big heart and gave the best of himself to others. His faith in Jesus Christ was unshakable and his burden for souls was fuelled by his desire to share the scriptures with everyone . Before the onset of Alzheimer's, you w ould find him writing notes and studying his bible at all hours of the day. He loved to read and discuss different points of view especially with his eldest son Francisco Jr. His life experience s as well as godly advice fill the pages of many notepads.

We have f ond memories of dad singing or whistling a s he worked . Although he did not speak much in the last few months of his life, he expressed himself with eye contact nods and warm smiles. We will miss that smile most of all and his way of assuring us " no matter what it was going on – it will be okay" You remain in our hearts until we meet again….

Francisco P Luna
