Ernestina Avalos Mazon was born November 27th, 1931, in Kaufman, Texas and passed away peacefully on September 5th, 2024 at the age of 92 in Madera, Ca. Her love of a large family began with her parents Jovita and Gregorio Avalos and 13 siblings.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Raul R. Mazon and her sons Raul Mazon Jr, Carlos Mazon, and her daughter Cynthia Mazon.
Ernestina is survived by her loving children Hugo and Inez Mazon, Alex Mazon, Laura and Luis Ruiz, and Gregorio and Lisa Mazon.

Ernestina was a kind, proud, and patient grandmother to 34 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Ernestina was instrumental in building the Mazon Trucking legacy.  Even into her retirement she continued to support her family business of three generations servicing the San Joaquin Valley.  Her commitment to her community didn't stop there.  Her love and dedication to her community was her true passion with countless volunteer service hours.  She played an integral role in establishing the first medical centers in Madera County known as Camarena Health.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, spending time in her garden, regular trips to the casino but most of all being surrounded by her family and friends.

A celebration of Life is scheduled at All Faiths Funeral Home on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 4pm-6pm, rosary 6pm to 7pm.  A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, September 17th at 11:30am at St. Joachim's Catholic Church.  Immediately following the services at Calvary Cemetery there will be a luncheon at Holy Spouses Hall, 320 North I Street, Madera.
