Anselmo Montemayor, known to everyone as Sam, was born August 21, 1957 in Three
Rivers, TX. He went to his eternal home on August 24, 2021. He leaves behind his wife of 33
years, Hope Montemayor, and seven children and spouses - Arthur and Maria Osuna, Lisa
Gutierrez, Anselmo Jr and Jennifer Montemayor, Pete and Jessica Montemayor, Nancy
Montemayor, Irene Montemayor, Samuel and Christina Montemayor. He also leaves behind 23
grandchildren, four great grandchildren, father and mother, Francisco and Maria Montemayor,
and his brothers, sisters, and spouses - Olivia Gonzalez, Frank and Linda Montemayor,
Margarita Montemayor, Ismael and Beatrice Galindo, Simon and Patty Montemayor, Jesse and
Stella Montemayor, Carlos and Patricia Bermudez, and Rene and Dolores Galvan. He is loved
by his godchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He gave his heart to the Lord over 30 years ago. He was a pillar to his church, Central
Valley Church, and family. He was a great Man of God that loved to help others and his smile
blessed all that he came around him because it showed the blessings of God.
He drove a big rig for over 30 years and once he retired 11 years ago, he devoted every
minute to his family. Anselmo was the best Grill Master and loved to feed others and fellowship.
He enjoyed having his family and friends over for every celebration, but was most known for his
Fish Fry and Carnitas, Chicarones, and Tri-Tip.
Services will be held on Friday, September 3rd at 10am at Central Valley Church on
1033 E. Kennedy St. Graveside burial at Calvary Cemetery, 28447 Ave. 14, immediately
following service. Reception to follow at Central Valley Church. All services will be held outside
and masks are encouraged. Service will be livestreamed on Facebook at Central Valley Church
for those who cannot attend.
